1. Who we are
These terms are between you and the operator of the SPOT for Hosts service (“we,” “us,” or “the Company”). SPOT for Hosts is the host product: accounts, properties, digital guides, sharing, and analytics. SPOT is our brand and the name of the guest-facing voice assistant inside SPOT for Hosts.
Other companies use names similar to SPOT. We are not those companies, we do not claim their marks, and we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a substitute for them.
2. What the service is — and is not
SPOT for Hosts helps hosts create and share their own welcome guides and optional voice answers based on that content. It is not a property manager, real-estate broker, payment processor, or listing marketplace. We do not book stays, collect rent, or manage listings on your behalf.
You may paste a guide link into messages you send on other websites. That is sharing your link. It is not an integration, partnership, or official connection with those websites unless we have a separate written agreement that says so.
3. Agreement and eligibility
By creating an account or using SPOT for Hosts, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. Hosts must be at least 18 years old. Keep your sign-in details confidential. You are responsible for activity on your account.
4. Your content
You keep ownership of content you submit (text, images, property details, and similar). You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, display, and transmit that content only as needed to operate and improve the service — for example to show a guide to people you share it with, or to let SPOT answer from that guide. We do not claim ownership of your listings or photos.
You represent that you have the rights to the content you upload and that it does not infringe anyone else’s copyright, trademark, publicity, or privacy rights. Do not copy listing photos, descriptions, or trademarks from other platforms or brands unless you have permission. You must promptly remove content if you lose those rights.
5. Our marks and third-party marks
SPOT, SPOT for Hosts, our logos, and related names are our trademarks or product names. You may not use them in a way that suggests sponsorship or that you are us, except to describe the service accurately (for example “our welcome guide is built with SPOT for Hosts”).
Names of other products and companies — including listing sites, maps, sign-in providers, analytics tools, and AI vendors — belong to their owners. We use those names only to identify third-party tools or places you might choose to share a link. Use of a name is not affiliation, certification, or a claim that we are an official partner.
6. Acceptable use
- No unlawful, harmful, deceptive, or infringing content
- No impersonation of us or of any other company or person
- No scraping, reverse engineering, or unauthorized access to the service or other users’ data
- No attempts to interfere with or disrupt the service
- No using SPOT to give legal, medical, or safety-critical advice that does not appear in your own guide, or to generate content you present as coming from another brand
7. Voice assistant (SPOT)
SPOT answers from the guide and property context you publish. Replies can be incomplete or wrong. You are responsible for keeping guide content accurate (check-in, WiFi, safety, house rules). Guests should not treat SPOT as a substitute for your instructions, local emergency services, or the listing platform where they booked.
Voice audio is processed so SPOT can respond. See the Privacy Policy for how that data is handled.
8. Third-party services
The product relies on independent providers (for example sign-in, hosting, email, analytics, maps, and speech or AI). Their terms and privacy policies apply to their services. An outage or change on their side may affect SPOT for Hosts. We are not responsible for third-party sites you link to from a guide.
9. Plans and changes
Features may vary by plan. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features. We will try to give reasonable notice of material changes that affect paying hosts. Published guides remain your content; we may still remove material that violates these terms.
10. Disclaimers and liability
SPOT for Hosts and SPOT are provided “as is.” To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not warrant that voice answers will be accurate or that sharing a guide will satisfy any listing platform’s rules.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages, or for losses arising from your content, guest stays, or third-party platforms. Some places do not allow these limits; in those places our liability is limited to the maximum allowed.
11. Termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms, to protect the service or others, or if required by law. Sections that by their nature should survive (including content warranties, marks, disclaimers, and liability limits) continue after termination.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top is the latest version. Continued use after a posted change means you accept the updated terms.
